The EU Council and Parliament agreed on the corporate sustainability due diligence directive (CSDDD), requiring large companies to address adverse impacts on human rights and the environment.
Companies will have to comply with various rules, including expressing their commitment to human rights, assessing risks and impacts on human rights, implementing countermeasures, and communicating internally and externally about risk management.
The length and complexity of supply chains makes it impossible and unaffordable for companies to ensure every business in a supply chain is assessed. A robust and continues due diligence system is the solution.
